The ATCC Admissions team (Kasey Morris, Angie Pederson, Cami Pexsa, and Austin Becker) joined fellow MACAC members to make a real difference for Minnesota students! We met with over 40 legislators at the 2025 Day on the Hill to:

 

- Highlight the Minnesota State Grant Program which supports nearly 70,000 students annually

- Emphasize support for school counseling and mental health resources

 

Key Impact: 74% of grant recipients come from families earning less than $60,000 – proving how vital these programs are for educational access. We advocated for a bill that would increase funding for the safe school revenue program and an amendment that would allow those funds to be spent on support staff like mental health professionals, social workers, and school counselors.
