Women's Month Honorees

As Women's History Month draws to a close, we want to take this moment to express our gratitude for each and every one of the women who contribute to making our campus the vibrant community it is today. These women were nominated by peers and students alike.
Honorees:
- Sarah Homelvig Nursing - Sara is very knowledgeable in her nursing. She takes time to get class feedback on how to improve things and ways to make accessing material/content easier. Sara is kind to all. She is passionate about nursing and educating the next generation of nurses.
- LaNell Hardy Liberal Arts - LaNell was one of the very first teachers who showed me that she cared about me beyond my grade. She is bold and she inspired me to work hard in her class. She was a safe place for any student to go to and I hope one day I can influence someone’s life as much as she has in mine.
- Cailey Birchem Communication Design - She is very creative,
has a unique personality and is a very good teacher.
- Cindy Hager Associate Dean of Educational Services - Cindy has been a very important piece in my academic success. I have had one class with her every semester, except for this semester. She is a strong leader and I hope that others feel inspired to work hard and strive for success, just like I do.
- Darla Harstad Early Childhood Education - She is so kind and positive all the time and she really shows she cares. She motivates her students with her positivity and willingness to listen!
- Becky Swanson Police Training & Education - She is my advisor this year.
She is caring and sweet and has helped me greatly this year.
- Katie Childers Interior Design - She’s very motivating and uplifting always. She makes school feel more safe and comfortable. She makes learning fun, she’s someone to look up to. She teaches, designs, and has another job on top of all of that.
- Kaye Madigan Support Services - She is always a very outstanding and outgoing person and has made a huge impact on my education.
- Carly Erickson Liberal Arts & Sciences / Athletic Director - She makes the hard class of A & P 2 fun to go to and easy to learn. I would recommend anyone to take her class for a good learning experience.
- Sara Fier Vice President of Academic & Students Affairs - She’s shown herself as a top-notch professional, learner, and leader. I admire her calm, organizational skills, dedication, and respectfulness. Sara also has supernatural powers, learning everyone’s names in just a few months. We are fortunate to have Sara!
- Joni Leuthardt I.T. Department - Her persistence in getting the job done along with her dedication and patience in helping fellow employees learn a new system.
- Cami Pexa Admissions - Cami has such a positive outlook on life. She always finds the good in people and situations. She is quick to help others and I am inspired by her zest for life, forward thinking and positive attitude. She prioritizes her faith, family and friends and makes me want to become a more involved person.
- Renae Kasper Human Resources - Renae consistently demonstrates an unwavering dedication to her work, while always being approachable, kind, and reliable. No matter how busy things get, Renae never hesitates to take on additional tasks and always handles them with grace and a positive attitude. Her work ethic is matched only by her genuine willingness to help others, making her an invaluable team player.
- Ruth Dickey Human Resources - Ruth is a constant, reliable resource and is always ready to drop what she’s doing to offer a helping hand, share words of encouragement, and provide insightful advice. Her willingness to guide us through challenges and share her knowledge makes an enormous difference in our daily work.
- Megan Galarneau Business Manager / CFO - Megan’s confidence inspires me as she manages a plethora of responsibilities and maintains positive relationships across campus. I appreciate the attention and due diligence she gives when problem-solving by asking questions, listening to others and researching information.
- The Business Office - The women in the Business Office (and Jon, too!) always ROCK but have been especially inspiring this past year as the college transitioned to Workday. Their tenacity shined through with the extra time, energy and effort they put in to learn Workday. They shared resources with campus and answered a zillion questions from employees also trying to learn the new system.
- Vicki Sward Admissions - Vicki’s genuine passion for our campus, her team, all staff, students, and future students is truly inspiring. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported. She embodies the spirit of excellence, leadership, and empowerment, making her a role model for all of us.Vicki’s strength and resilience has shown her true dedication to ATCC. We are so thankful!
