Alexandria Technical & Community College (ATCC) proudly announces its first-ever participation in the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC).
Students from the Communication Design department traveled to Fargo, ND on April 4th to present their campaign during the District 8 competition.
This milestone marks an exciting step forward for the program, offering students a unique opportunity to apply their creative and strategic skills in a high-level, real-world competition. Guided by industry standards and fueled by months of collaboration, the student team tackled a national advertising challenge and presented their work before a panel of professionals.
“It was an incredible learning experience,” said a faculty member from the Communication Design department. “Our students rose to the challenge with professionalism and enthusiasm. We're proud of the work they created and the way they represented ATCC.”
To support this effort, a student-led advertising club was formed to provide mentorship, structure, and collaboration beyond the classroom. The club plans to return to the competition next year, building on the strong foundation laid this spring.
NSAC, hosted annually by the AAF, is the premier college advertising competition in the U.S., challenging students to create a comprehensive campaign for a real client. ATCC’s participation reflects the college’s continued commitment to providing applied learning experiences that prepare students for professional success.
