3.7 Immigration and Department of Homeland Security Requirements
It is the policy of ATCC to adhere to the regulations of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It requires that all international students who attend United States colleges on student visas must complete a minimum of eight credits in each academic semester and maintain the minimum grade point average as established by the college. DHS requires the collection of a fee to be paid by aliens seeking status as F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant students after September 1, 2004. DHS levies a fee to cover costs of the Student and Exchange Visitor program. The fee regulations will give students several options to pay by mail or credit card via the Internet.
