Spring 1 2025 term began January 13, 2025!

Jan 15, 2025 | 2:42 PM

The Spring 1 term has begun. With it, we welcome back our returning students as well as many new students across all program options!  In fact, we about doubled the number of students who are part of the USNCC/ATCC partnership.

We sent reminders to students about this as well, but if you are unable to do the Spring 1 ATCC course we contacted you about & registered you for, please inform your ATCC Advisor by 11:59 PM on Friday, January 17. This allows us to administratively drop you from the course without penalty.

Most students are taking a 16-week course for Spring 1 which will go until May 14 and there are about 50 students taking an 8-week course in Spring 1. Spring 2 will begin on March 17 and run until May 14.  If approved to take a Spring 2 course by USNCC, those who are taking 8-week courses will start a different course on March 17 after their Spring 1 course ends.  And those taking 16-week courses in Spring 1 will have the option to add a second course, which will run March 17-May 14, along with completing the course you are currently in.

We hope to have info about Spring 2 courses sent out to returning students within the next 4-6 weeks. As soon as we get the final eligibility list from USNCC for the term, we’ll be in touch. As always, if USNCC approves you for an ATCC course, we will communicate with you about it and register you for your course.

As a reminder, please use the usncc@alextech.edu email address as much as possible.  This allows Robin & Beth to both have access to respond. As you know, Robin is the main advisor for the General Engineering & General Engineering Technology programs, while Beth remains the main advisor for the Nuclear Engineering Technology program.  However, either of us can help out with all programs if needed.

Be sure to check the Calendar & Important Dates section for course start/end dates and other essential information for ATCC. USNCC’s calendar is different than ours for the courses they teach, so be sure to check out USNCC’s calendar, as well.

As always, please reach out if you require assistance with anything related to your course or academic support! To track your progress towards your Certificate, Diploma, AAS or AS degree, we encourage you to access eServices and download your degree audit reports (DARS). If you're unsure how to do this, please take a moment to watch these brief instructional videos.
